* WARNING! these do not taste like the store bought, prepackaged brownies. They're very dense and not extremely sweet.

I N G R E D I E N T S
Brownies
1 1/2 c of cassava flour OR almond flour OR coconut flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/3 c of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 c of almond butter
1/4 c of avocado
1 c of whole milk
1/3 c of 100% pure maple syrup OR agave
*3 tbsp of avocado oil if you like fudgey brownies
Frosting
1/2 c of unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
2/3 c of maple sugar OR coconut sugar
1/3 c of 100% pure maple syrup OR agave
1/2 c of cassava flour OR arrowroot flour
1/2 tsp of fine sea salt
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1-2 tsp of whole milk, if needed
1/2-1 c of mini chocolate chips
I N S T R U C T I O N S
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously oil pan with coconut oil or avocado oil; you can use a muffin pan, mini muffin pan, or 9x13; I personally will use a 9x13 pan next time, just to control the portion size better.
Mix all ingredients until batter is smooth.
Bake for 20-25 minutes; all ovens vary, bake until firm to the touch.
While brownies bake, make the frosting.
For the frosting, combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
Allow brownies to cool before frosting.
N O T E S
*You can add more maple syrup or agave to make them sweeter
